Ivanna Drusselhoff
president of IAPEPUWBWTH, director of GCFPSUWBW Ivanna Drusselhoff was born on April 1, 1742, in Leipzig. She is the half-twin of the renowned composer P.D.Q. Bach, and the secret bastard child of the lesser-known composer Johann Sebastian Bach. She became inspired to start underwater basket weaving while listening to the Sonata for Viola Four Hands by her half-twin Pretty Damned Quick (she found that she could mute the terrible sound of the viola by holding her head underwater. However, without anything to do underwater, she quickly grew bored. Underwater basket weaving fixed that.) Once she started weaving, she couldn't get enough. For a while, she became so addicted that PDQ was forced to take her to Underwater Basket Weavers Anonymous. However, even this didn't help her kick the habit. Tired of the constant hovering of her half-twin, she eventually moved to North America, where she discovered a robust underwater basket weaving community that welcomed her with open arms. This community introduced her to IAPEPUWBWTH, and she eventually became president of the organization, as well as director for GCFPSUWBW. When she isn't working tirelessly in her capacity as president and director, or weaving, Drusselhoff enjoys playing the tromboon, an instrument invented by her half-twin. |
Theodore Roosevelt, founder of the NCAA
As a child, Teddy Roosevelt struggled with poor health due in part to debilitating asthma. One day, a family friend suggested underwater basket weaving as a treatment. The Roosevelt family was dubious, but decided that it was worth a try. After weaving his first basket, young Theodore's asthma disappeared, almost overnight. Since then, he has been a huge supporter of the sport. Unfortunately, as he entered the public eye he was forced to hide his love of underwater basket weaving due to popular disdain of the sport. Despite having to denounce such an important part of his life, Roosevelt went on to lead a mildly successful career, finding his way to the White House. (It is a little-known fact that he actually commissioned a room in the White House to be completely redesigned as an underwater basket weaving room.) While he was POTUS, Teddy founded the NCAA, which was originally intended to bring underwater basket weaving to greater prominence in American culture. However, his advisers advised him that this would not be successful, and suggested he focus the NCAA on the fatalities and injuries in the inferior but somehow much more popular sport of American football. Theo is ecstatic to finally have a chance to express his life-long love of underwater basket weaving with the attendees of the 300th annual GCFPSUWBW!!! |
